ERIN Engineering and Research, Inc. (ERIN), an SKF Group Company, is the developer of EPRI's ORAM-SENTINEL (O-S) software, which is used at more than 60 nuclear power plants, both within the United States and internationally, to perform safety assessments and/or risk analyses. O-S provides a comprehensive environment for performing safety assessments of all plant configurations. The analysis compares unavailability of systems important with safety with plant-specific requirements. The next generation of the ORAM-SENTINEL product is the PARAGON™ software program developed and owned by ERIN. ORAM-SENTINEL users benefit from an ability to convert existing models into the PARAGON product framework. In the third generation PARAGON product, ORAM-SENTINEL models benefit from more deterministic modeling flexibility, integrated linking with probabilistic risk assessment engines, rule-based results presentation, innovative deterministic return-to-service and remain-in-service and many more new and innovative capabilities. |
