The successful candidate’s initial assignment is the development of electrical analysis or distribution systems, electrical device coordination, and other electrical design calculations. Job duties include data collection, analysis using computer programs, and report writing.
Qualifications:
A 4 year (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in power plant or process industry design is required. Excellent communication skills and report writing capabilities required. Proficiency in word processing (e.g., Microsoft Word) and spreadsheet (e.g., Excel) is required. Knowledge of database applications (e.g., Access), electrical analysis software (e.g., EDSA, ETAP), and drawing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio) is desirable. Ability to read and understand plant design documentation including single line diagrams, schematic/elementary diagrams, and architectural general arrangement drawings is highly desirable. The onsite risk management engineer functions as part of an overall corporate risk management team, interfacing with plant staff on all risk management applications. Specific work tasks include supporting Maintenance Rule implementation, advising work planners on scheduling of maintenance activities to minimize risk, and responding to emergent plant risk management activities and risk issues. Applicants should have a strong familiarity with nuclear plant systems and operations. Experience with probabilistic risk assessment is desirable, as is experience with plant risk management activities.

Entry-Level and Mid-Level Safety/Risk Engineer – Campbell, CA

The individual in this position will perform engineering analyses and risk assessments for boiling water nuclear reactors. Duties include editing, developing, manipulating, and quantifying probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) fault trees and event trees, as well as preparing and editing documentation. In addition, individuals in this position will prepare and edit proposals and respond to customer (i.e., utility personnel) questions and issues. Occasional travel to power plant sites or related facilities is required.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
